Sunday school:  We have a lively Sunday School, and celebrate our children in many ways over the course of the year.  We begin in September with Rally Day and the start of classes (held during worship, following the Children’s Message), with a “Cook-out and Carnival” after church.  They present a Children’s Christmas Pageant in December, and work on special projects during Lent.  At the end of the school year, the Children help our pastor lead worship in a service that always brings some surprises.  We close out the year with another Cook-out and Carnival on the front lawn.  Then, we invite the community to share with us a week of Vacation Bible School in July.

We are privileged to have classes running through High School, and invite the youth to enroll in a Confirmation Class when they are in or about the 9th Grade.  They present Statements of Faith as they lead in the worship service on Confirmation Sunday.  Many have been, or - go on - Group Work Camp Mission Trips where we do small home repair to folks in need, as we gather with about 400 other young people from around the country.

Worship:  We gather for worship on Sunday mornings at 10:00 am (9:00 am for July and August) and follow what you might call a more traditional approach, but in our own informal way.  Special services are held throughout the year, on occasions such as Rally Day (the beginning of Sunday school in September), St. Andrew's Day when we celebrate our Scottish heritage as Presbyterians, Advent services, a Children's Christmas Pageant, Lenten observances and Easter Celebrations, along with Youth-led worship on Confirmation Sunday, and a lively Children-led service at the end of the Sunday School year.

Music plays a vital role in worship, and we welcome all voices to join with our Choir under the guidance of our Director of Music Ministries (click on “Our People” for more about Jessica).  We have special musical offerings during the year, and welcome friends and family at the holidays.

Discipleship & Fellowship:  We offer a variety of Study and Discussion Groups, ranging from a once monthly (or so…) Book Club, to Bible Studies and Topical Groups - dealing with issues such as immigration, approaches to spirituality, and lessons found in “Jesus Christ - Superstar.”

We meet as often as we can for times of food and fellowship, with picnics on the lawn and potluck lunches following church.

*Covid-19 Note:  We can't always meet for food and fellowship, but offer the following suggestions from our members if you are looking for options in take-out, delivery, or other food pick-up ideas.

Mission:  Mission plays an important role here, as we try and give form to our faith in ways that make a practical difference both in our community and in the world.  We serve meals at the Men’s Shelter.  We help build Habitat houses.  We send our young people on Work Camp Mission Trips.  We support many causes beyond our immediate homes through the generosity of our members.
