Worship

Worship at "the 1st" -

img_6029_edited.jpg

As you may have read in "About Us" - As Presbyterians, we like a little order to worship, but - never so much that it gets in the way of what God might accomplish in and through us.  You will find a relaxed atmosphere where folks are comfortable with one another, but always with an understanding that we have gathered to worship, serve, and grow as God’s children.

We gather for worship on Sunday mornings at 10:00 am (9:30 am for July and August) and follow what you might call a more traditional approach, but in our own informal way.  Special services are held throughout the year, on occasions such as Rally Day (the beginning of Sunday school in September), St. Andrew's Day when we celebrate our Scottish heritage as Presbyterians, Advent services, a Children's Christmas Pageant, Lenten observances and Easter Celebrations, along with Youth-led worship on Confirmation Sunday, and a lively Children-led service at the end of the Sunday School year.

Music plays a vital role in worship, and we welcome all voices to join with our Choir under the guidance of our Director of Music Ministries (click on “Our People” for more about Jessica).  We have special musical offerings during the year, and welcome friends and family at the holidays.
