Sunday School
Plan for it  -  "Rally Day 2011"  -  special worship and carnival, coming your way on September 18.  Watch for it  -  our 2nd Annual Parent - Teacher Get-Together at the Azmitias to celebrate and talk about the upcoming Sunday School year.

Youth Group
Bon Voyage to our Youth Group Workcamp Mission Trip participants as they head off to Littleton, NH to help those in need with small home repair.

Watch for new studies and groups (including the ever popular Book Club) coming in the Fall

Deacons
Our Board of Deacons (composed of 15 members elected annually to a three year term) oversees a variety of ministries in the church and reaching out into the community, including:  Emergency Needs, Coffee Hour, Greeters and Ushers, Flowers and Visitation, Sanctuary and Kitchen Care, Outreach and Special Events, and so much more.  The Deacons help make the church a family, and help the family find its place in our community.

Mission
We "Celebrated Fathers" with Church World Service - Blanket Sunday: we honored and remembered more than 100  fathers, grandfathers and men of the church.  It enabled us to purchase over 100 blankets to send out into the world for those in need.  What a great way to celebrate Father's Day.  Thank you!  Our "One Great Hour of Sharing" offering raised $770 to help with Presbyterian Disaster Assistance and Hunger Programs around the world.  Thank you for your generosity!

Other Newsworthy Notes
From your House Ministry Team:  we have some long-awaited projects ready to begin this summer, including the installation of Air Conditioning (thanks to the generous gift of one of our members), a new roof on the sanctuary (as a part of our ongoing Capital Campaign Projects), cleaning of the sanctuary carpets, and re-grading of the area between the Sunday School Wing and the Memorial Room to address some leakage issues.
