See You This Sunday – “Memorial Sunday”

Sermon Notes for Sunday, October 30, 2011.  The Text will be Matthew 23. 1-12.

“Sermon Starter”  -  Jesus teaches in a rather blunt and plain-spoken manner that we must practice what we preach.  Integrity matters.  And – that this way of life leads us to a fuller embrace of the true greatness God intends for us.

What else is happening this week?

After worship, the Communion Workshop will conclude as we gather around the Communion Table in the Sanctuary. 

Deacons meet Tuesday at 7:15 pm.

The Wednesday Lunch Study will be off this week.

The Book Club will meet on Wednesday at 7:00 pm

Choir practice is Thursday at 7:30 pm.  New members are always welcome.

Next Sunday we will celebrate the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper (with the bread made by the children in the Communion Workshop).  We will also offer an opportunity to Explore Membership at the 1st following worship and including a light lunch.

The Inter-religious and Human Needs Council will meet at 5:00 pm.
